First Week of School finished

First weeks, 26 lessons finished. What a long week full of classes.
I was not very familiar with the time and location of classes. One thing I remember is the two four-hour lecture slots which are on Monday and Thursday.
OOPG is not very difficult, and creating new classes is very interesting. In HOOP, the java.Swing class is very useful for creating new user interface.
So far.. CMATHS2 Topic One - Functions - is easy. I have already learnt it in my Grade 11.
IISO is also interesting. It teaches me how information is very important in doing business. It is very practical and useful..
The pratical lesson of IISO was also full of fun. We auctioned things, act as manufactures, distributors, retailors and customers..
Blogging from school lib.. Will continue when I reached home...

Semester 2 Begins Today

First Day of New semester...
Woke up early at 7 am. Arrived school at 8 plus.. I arrived so early that there were few students. Went to lab to print an entry form for photo competition called 'Something Old, Something New'. Due date is the end of this month.
Monday was full of lectures and tutorials. Based on the timetable, I got only one hour break. But there was no lab session. So got two extra hours of break.
OOPG was just revision of PRSP, so it was easy. HOOP is new subject. and Higher Java programming subject. There were so many lecture slides to be covered within a single one hour lecture slot. So, I needed to concentrate much.
CMATHS2 has topics that I fear like permutation and drawing of graphs..Need to work hard..
For CMSK3, I need to do report writing and oral presentation. Should be okie..
Today, felt very very tired. after school ended at 5plus, I went to lab to study and review some lessons taught. Only arrived home at 8:15....
What a tiring Monday...

Deepavali, Thadingyut, Mid-Autumn Festival at TP on 14 Oct

14 October 2006 Time: 5pm Venue: TP Sports Complex and Fountain Pound
This event was organized by Global Connect Club(GCC) of TP. Over 30 international students participated. Most of them are new students who will be attending October semester. This purpose of this event was to celebrate three lighting festival. There students played ice-breaker games and were introduced to different traditions and culture of India, China and Myanmar.
After playing games, all students were given a Chinese latern and proceeded to Fountain Pound. There, dinner was privided. After that, we celebrated Myanmar Lighting Festival.
Before the end of the event, each and every student was treated with Chinese Mooncakes and Tea. In our group of 7 students, all were from Myanmar except two students from China. It was a great experience to get to know students from different countries. The event ended at 9:30pm.
Because of that, I miss Man U match. But I was glad that Man U beat Wigan 3-1. They were leading the Premier League Table..

191006 Thursday

Watched Champions League Match between Chelsea and Barcelona at 1 am. The match was not as interesting and exciting as their previous meetings. May be because they met in Group Stage. So boring match that I went to sleep again after Drogba scored one goal for Chelsea.
Woke up early again at 7 am to attend Microsoft's 'Walk The Success Lane' Seminar. Took MRT to Raffles' Place and went to Microsoft auditorium at Level 21 of One Marina Bovelard building. Different speakers talked about Microsoft, IT Job Market, how to write resume, Windows Vista sneak preview respectively. Quite boring. But Windows Vista is very cool and nice, it's user interface is more attractive than Windows XP. It's Windows Office 2007 is also full of function. Looking forward to upgrade my XP to Vista.
Today, I was lucky, won one backbag, Microsoft T-shirt and Wiress Optical Mouse at lucky draw!!
Then, I rushed to school to attend Semesteral briefing. There I met again with my very good friends from C133.
The briefing was very short and very brief. There are many subjects we need to take in the coming semester. The are much more lessons in one week compared to the first semester. One thing to relief is that I don't need to take CDS this semester!
Went to Ko Than Hitke house and then went to Mustafa Centre. There my friend bought new Casio Watch, one bermuda. For me, I just did window-shopping.
Then went back home and arrived home at 8pm. Very tired.....
The pictures of the day,

7 Days to school reopen!

Not update for very long time. Last Monday, went to school for orientation of new international students who will attend October intake. Went to school with the hope of meeting with my friend who was chosen to attend TP. I was hoping she would come to orientation. I also found her name in the registration list. But she did not come. I didn't know what happened to her. I had no information about her except her email. I sent email about the event but no reply. Wish everything is OK with her!

I met with about 13 Myanmar fresher students! Sadly, all of them will attend Engine School. (There is no October Intake for INT school). There are five groups. I was a mentor of Group 3. Group leader was Sweekee. There was 2-hour briefing for freshers. Then, we guided all group members to differnet stations around the school to play station games. Most of the games are boring... Not as funny and interestion as the games I played in April Orientation organized by TPSU.

On Tuesday, went school again for second day of orientation. It was another boring day again! There wasno game, but hour-long briefings. :(

New Features Added at Side Bar

Hello Everyone!
Wishing u enjoy health of body and peace of mind!
I already added two new features in the side bar of my blog.

The first one is Web Poll.
Here you can vote one situation that suit you most from the list of choices.
Today, I start my very first Poll to find out how many hours of computer usage for different people.
So, please vote! Choose one that best represent you. Looking forward for many and accurate votes.

The second feature is interesting feature called Yahoo! Babel Fish.
It is a tool that will help you translate from one language to another (for exam ple English to Chinese, or vice versa). There are total of 12 languages. So if you need any translation just key in either single word, sentences or the whole paragraph. For languages other than English, just selete the paragraph, copy and paste it into the box. And choose from what language you want to translate into which language.

It can translate the whole website also, just key in the url address of the webpage you want to translate.
But it is based on a special software that recognize certain words, so there will be certain few words or phrases you cannot get translated or mis-translated. But such cases are minor compared to the tranlation of many many words within few seconds.

021006 Monday

It has been over ten days since I last update new post. It is because I do not have very interesting thing to blog about and may be because of my laziness to blog. Now here comes my new update.
Last Monday, I went to school for mentoring programm for new International students who will attend the coming October Semester. There I met with about 30 plus international students and learnt how to play station games and other things. The oritentation will take place at 9 and 10.
Yesterday, Man U BEAT Newcastle 2-0. It was excellent form for Man U. But Newcastle not played very well and their midfield and defence cannot control man of the match Ronaldo.
Last weekend most of the days are very hazy. When I looked into distance I couldn't see everyting clearly..
There is mid-autumn festival lightning festival at Chinatown. I haven't went there, may be going there after my sister finish exam.
This time, in Myanmar, there Thadingyut Festival going on. During this period, all the people across the country lit candles and laterns at their houses and pagodas. It is the holiday period for students. Also, it is the end of the rainy season and the weather is appropriate for outdoor activities. And young people do good deeds such as doing donations, paying respect and help the older people and so on.
My teacher also organize lightning festival at Kan-Oo Pagoda every year. The whole compound is very bright with the light from thousands of candles. There, me and my friends lit candles went arond the town in the evening. The whole town came alive when the night fell. Many young children played on the street and frequently the sound of firework can be heard.
I missed it alot. . . .
